Community Wellness Plan
Our Community Involvement
At All About Hearing we truly believe in the importance of improving our community. We are aligned with both the Mount Vernon and Burlington Chambers of Commerce and we are an annual sponsor of Berry Dairy Days every June as well as the River Walk Music Festival every August.
As a Kiwanian, Diane has introduced her staff and friends to Kiwanis. All About Hearing partners with the Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club to assist with their only annual fund raiser, a 23-day Salmon BBQ that coincides with the Tulip Festival in the Skagit Valley. Our employees work over 400 hours collectively to put on the BBQ and assist with over 11,000 meals being served. The proceeds go back into our community to assist children and families in the Skagit Valley.
All About Hearing travels for the community as well. We reach out to local retirement and care centers on a monthly basis and do 'in-home' or 'in-room' service for patients who have transportation or mobility issues. We ensure that patients' devices are working as they did when originally fit.
We are involved with Health Fairs and other outreach opportunities. Our goal this summer and fall is to assist with the Alzheimer's walk as we have done in previous years. We participated in the Walk For Life in 2016, raising over $2,000 for continuing Alzheimer's research and outreach.
We love our patients and treat them like family. Each year we have a Patient Appreciation BBQ at our office. It's a great opportunity to spend time in a more casual picnic atmosphere. We invite our patients, friends and spouses to come and let us serve them a fun lunch complete with lawn games, water toys and good conversation. Stay tuned for more information on the 2018 BBQ!
