All About Hearing: Our Story
Diane Fox opened All About Hearing in 2003. As someone who has hearing loss, she opened the practice in order to help others with their hearing health. All About Hearing has remained an independent, family operated practice. Our mission is to help people manage their hearing loss through hearing aids so they can live an improved quality of life. We take the time to get to know our patients and we will always treat you like family. Our patients continue to come back to us for their hearing aid needs because they trust us to help them.
If you or someone you know could use amplification from hearing aids then contact us today! We would love to assist you in your journey to better hearing.

In her spare time, she can be found volunteering in her community with her Kiwanis Club of Mount Vernon, or at home with her dogs Max, Gomer and Nellie, and most importantly, her 2 grandkids. And of course she’s a huge Seahawk Fan!
Steven Rickards boasts of being around the hearing industry since he was a kid, as he was forced to listen to his mom’s daily monologues about her patients. He’s a Hearing Conservationist who practices what he preaches by wearing his ear protection when riding his Harley Davidson throughout the Pacific Northwest. Steven is extremely social and finds great joy in helping his patients along their hearing journey. In his free time, he is commonly seen accompanying his mother to the Seahawks games (so she doesn’t fall).

Fran Starr
Office Manager
Samantha Lizotte is the smiling person you’ll encounter when you call our office. She’s the person who will schedule your appointment, confirm your insurance benefit, treat you like family when you arrive for your appointment, and she will remember your name for future visits. She also performs most of the clean and checks in the office. She is the glue that holds our office together and can answer almost any question that can be posed to her. We’re very fortunate to have Sam with us since 2018.

Armi
Our Community Involvement
At All About Hearing, we truly believe in being an integral part of our community. We are aligned with both the Mount Vernon and Burlington Chambers of Commerce and we are an annual sponsor of Berry Dairy Days every June as well as the River Walk Music Festival every August.
Diane has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Mount Vernon for over 10 years. In 2022 we are resuming our traditional Salmon BBQ but with a twist. This year we will be serving only on Fridays through Sundays the entire month of April. Diane has been named as Salmon BBQ chair, a position she has held or assisted with since becoming a member.
The pandemic has curtailed our monthly visits to retirement centers to service hearing aids, so we started a pick-up and delivery service for those who weren’t able to get out to obtain service. When retirement centers are open, we are able to see patients and take care of their individual needs.
In 2021 we gave over $1,000 to the Skagit Humane Society, $1,000 to SPOT (Saving Pets one at a Time) and gave $2,000 to the Skagit Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Shelter. These are all non-profits who depend on community donations of time and funds for their existence.
We love our patients and treat them like family. Each year we have a Patient Appreciation BBQ at our office. Last year we had to pivot to a curbside pick-up for our BBQ but many enjoyed our family having the opportunity to feed our patients. This year is in the planning stages, so if you have any ideas please let us know!
